Mercedes-AMG C63 DTM 2016 'Renntaxi' in action: Warm Up, Accelerations & Crackles!

Back in 2018, Misano World Circuit hosted the first ever night race in DTM history. During the weekend my friends Davide458Italia, Italiansupercarvideo and I discovered the three DTM teams had a couple of reserved sessions for taxi rides, where professional drivers taking guests and VIPs around the track in previous gen DTM cars. Mercedes was there with a 2016-spec C63 (judging by the "winged" mirrors, front and side flaps and rear diffuser) but featuring a similar livery to the one used by Pascal Wehrlein in 2018, since they have/had to show the current sponsors during official events and shows like it happens with Formula 1 cars. It is powered by a 4.0-liter V8 engine that was producing around 460hp (with air restrictors).

They sound similar though. The exhaust is 4 into 1 for both banks of the V8, making it sound like 2 Inline 4s.

Might be just a little since racecars generally doesn't utilize any sound dampening measures in the first place so it is inherently loud af. Not to mention the additional noise from straight cut gears, wind & structural creaks (carbon fibre).

This year model is a 4.0 V8. There's a seperate exhaust outlet on each side, combined with the flat plane crank and air restrictors, give this sound.
