Mercedes-AMG E 53 4MATIC+ Review 2021 - Best Value for Money E-Class?

This was the third version of the E53, there was an update to the front grill in 2020 to the AMG twin blade grill, then later in 2020 they changed the front grill and headlights. Please note also the powertrain graphic in the video is not for the E53. The E53 does not have the electric motor on the rear axel like the later e-performance models. it uses an electric motor combined with the 9 speed gear box to provide the extra power directly. Means no starter motor etc, so the stop-start is the smoothest you will experience! Not that many will use the stop-start in an AMG. If you want a e-class coupe or cabriolet, the E53 is the most powerful you can get. They did not put the V8 in those variants. I can vouch after owning an E53 Cabriolet for a few years, its just fun!

Mines due this month, hope it is not late. Full load except for 3d sound, rear window shade and headliner. i got the bright red, 22" bi colour rims, black grey seats and black ash dash. Hoping it comes soon!

The facelift front grill opening looks like a frown. The previous was turned exactly opposite and looked better IMO.

@@rivervalegroup no, I have a pre facelift 2018 E300 still under warranty. I’ll probably start looking fora new car next year, but I’m disappointed with the new look of the E. I’m probably going to get an Acura TLX.
