This is a great video. It helped me replace the top on my 2004 CLK500. The HEADLINER strings and straps on the 2004 CLK500 came loose before I redid the top, is there any diagrams or videos you can share that show how and where these strings and elastic strap attach so I can finish the installation of my top?

Is it easier to replace just the cover or the entire convertible top? I need this done to my clk.

If you want the real look then you should repair this one and i will not recommend you to replace the entire top. you can repair it but it is not easy to do. you should contact to someone who can fix this issue professionally.

Where are you located? Maybe I can come with my car and ask you to repair the soft top directly.. How long does it take to repair that.. my top soft has exactly the same problem like in your video. and can U ask you how much does it cost?
