Mercedes-Benz O530 Citaro Demonstrator, SMB136C

On 16th March 2010, SMRT Buses deployed SMB136C, the Mercedes-Benz O530 Citaro Demonstrator on SMRT Bus Service 855 and eventually, it sparked off several Mercedes-Benz O530 Citaros built for Singapore. While majority of the Mercedes-Benz O530 Citaro buses are built for SBS Transit, a few of them were built for SMRT Buses, including SMB136C. By the end of 2015, SMRT decided too remove the advert from the Demonstrator, as the advert was in a very bad shape after being stuck to the bus for five years. It has since been operating in a full SMRT Livery by December 2015. A year later in 2016, the Demonstrator Unit was eventually removed from service and it became a Permanent Training Bus ever since. By some chance, the very same Demonstrator Unit was seen at Tampines Bus Interchange with the instructor training a new bus captain the route for SMRT Bus Service 969. This footage was filmed on 3rd May 2017 and the bus has not been found, shortly after this video is made, making this extremely rare.
