Strong engine, easily mapped to around 239bhp and benefits greatly from a EGR disable, software only.. 0-62 a fannies hair over 6 sec and will hit the 160mph on the clock... No horrible oily exhaust gases going back into the cylinder and therefore, engine oil... With the EGR operational, 10-20% diesel fuel in the oil is not uncommon, necessarily this increases engine wear greatly.. Disable the EGR, 200,000 plus is easily attainable .. Without disabling, you will be lucky to see 125,000 miles without plug and injector issues...

Doesn’t the DPF require a working EGR to operate or does the DPF manage without? I’m interested in doing the software thanks

@@BarrieCrampton Used to have the previous model in 350 V6 manual box and a 2.3 AMG in the previous model again. Then got a CLK 2.2 CDI Sport, good car too but I prefer the roadster. Don’t subscribe to the crap that it’s a woman’s or hair dressers car. Just a bit difficult looking over the bonnet to see the front wing as I drive through a narrow gap on my drive

The Name. Both are the same car (or the SLC is the newer, renamed SLK).

We have our E-Class estate and the SLK250 in 'matching' Palladium met grey - the SLK has red seatbelts though. I like 'em. Both are the so-called AMG Premium+ versions. The bigger car gets around 55mpg on a longer run, but the SLK gets over 60 - highest was 63.8mpg.
