I have owned my c400 for over 5 years now and although I am lusting for a V8 AMG, this is an amazing car that I love and I only appreciate it more and more, especially for the fact that it is so rare among w205 models and is not branded as an AMG.

Absolutely agree. I just bought a C400. For me the best combination of comfortable and sporty small limousine with typically Mercedes GEN. Furthermore quite an economic car, considering the power of the twin turbo V6. Before I was thinking to buy an Alfa Giulia Quadrifoglio or C63s. But then I prefered the 4 matic as I also ride the car in winter and mountain roads with pretty lot of snow

Congratulations with your C400. Indeed it is a great everyday package. The Gulia Q and C63s are very amazing and special cars. But there stiffer suspension and RWD setup make them less good as a daily driver.

Thanks for the upload. I am currently in the market for a new car and have narrowed it between this one, or the 2016 c300. I am 24y/o and it will be my first "nice" car. Have you also driven the 300? What are your thoughts?

Hey Jordan, thank you for your comment! I have not driven the C300, but I have driven the A250 (review will be on this Friday) which has the same 2 litre inline 4 petrol engine. It is a nice 4 cilinder engine, with low down torque and it also makes the car lighter. But it does lack in power compared to the 6 cilinder from the C400. Let me put it like this. If you want fuel economy, little bit more fun on twisty roads, the C300 would be my pick. But if you want a more planted feel (on the highway) and also more low end power, the C400 would be a better choice. I hope this helps you out.

@@faithonwheels53 The 300 and 400 are pretty much an identical car aside from under the hood, correct? I have driven the 300 and found it a fun car to drive but would love even more power. Let me know after driving the 2liter what your thoughts are between the 2.

Yes sure, keep in mind this online works with the optional Command online system. - go to 'vehicle settings' (you can use the shortcut button with the picture of a car on the center console) - scroll to 'dynamic select' - scroll to 'engine data' - the information like oil temperature, torque en kW usage will appear

Yes it lies pretty flat in corners thanks to the sport suspension. However it is a bit less comfortable than the regular suspension or the airmatic air suspension

@@faithonwheels53do you recommend sport suspension? How about on bad roads? Is it “a bit less comfortable” or more like “painful”? I once had an Audi A4 1999 model with sport suspension and I regretted it on bad roads.

@@matoberry I recommend air suspension on the W205 C Class. It can be sporty and more comfortable with that option. The fixed sport suspension is not comfortable enough

I have one. Depends on your right foot but if you drive like a granny under 120km/h you will be able to go as low as around 7l/100km

@@faithonwheels53 I realise this is an old video and old comment, but I'm curious to know why so many people ordered these without the fantastic Akustik-Komfort-Paket which adds a lot more sound insulation including double-pane glass?? I also like the Airmatic, I think it even further reduces noise levels and provides the option of an INCREDIBLY soft suspension (or nice and sporty stiff depending on which mode). But I especially cant' understand why everyone who could afford to didn't choose the PAF (Akustik-Komfort-Paket) as it makes the car so much more quiet?

@@faithonwheels53 👍 I hadn't had a Mercedes of my own before buying my S205, I had owned only Porsches and BMWs and I was surprised at how good it was! Finally Mercedes made a car with good enough steering and the automatic was good enough, so I went for one (because of taxation I HAD TO buy a PHEV and Mercedes was the only decent PHEV wagon at the time). Then I sold it as even though I'm young I appreciated the comfort, and went for an E-Class as it had a few more toys like the massage seats. But I actually liked the C-Class more in the end. Now with the new models I'm not interested at all, I can't stand the touchscreens etc. and the pricing is insane for almost no really good updates to the cars themselves. So now I'm hunting for an as-new-as-possible W205 with all the options I want instead of a new car! Funny how things work out, I didn't think I'd even like the Mercedes that much (even though I grew up with my family owning lots of them) and now I know it offers exactly what I appreciate most at an incredibly decent price! I'd have to pay something around double or more for the equivalent comfort of a W205 with PAF, Airmatic, and all the other comfort equipment I had like Burmester, etc... BTW if you know others who weren't as smart as you and ordered without the PAF package, it's possible to very cheaply retrofit the acoustic double-pane side windows (but not the rest of the sound deadening, thought the windows alone do a lot)! For example Fuenfkommasechs wrote an article about it.

- Highway around 8 liter per 100km (if you drive careful you can get 7,5l per 100km) at speeds of around 130 km/h - City driving is around 12 liter per 100km (you can get 10l if you drive careful) - Overall I have gotten 10,2 liters per 100km (as you can see I drive pretty fast most of the time) With a fuel capacity of 66 liters, you should be able to get 700-800 km on high speed long distance traveling. But my average is 550-650km (mostly city driving).

Standaard! Uitlaat is echt gedempt, motorgeluid hoor je voornamelijk. Als je meer geluid wilt moet je echt voor de C43/C450 gaan.

Just bought one myself last week! I absolutely love this car! It's quiet, it's comfortable and with the V6 Biturbo and 333 HP... It is enough to get your kids to school quickly if necessary ;)
