Mercedes G63 W463 seat Air Pump Repair

Hey mike. I ended up selling the g. I had rust forming under the windshield. I had a gnarly rock chip in the windshield. Both my turbos were seaping oil at just 67k miles. When i foumd out it was a full engine out to reach the turbos i threw in the towel and traded it in for a ram trx. The g wagon is so unique but its not worth the amount in maitnenance. I dont think ill ever buy another mercedes after it. Over 29 months i changed the ac box, passenger valve cover gasket, oil pan gasket, cam sensors, and steering dampner. I still needed to do brakes. It was a 13 g63.

Stick to a later model G55. I don’t have any of these problems. Owning the car from 160k km to 195k km over the last 3 years. .

Hey Mike, Just a heads up, you don't have to take out the battery to reach the air pump. Just pop off the passenger side rear tread plate and lift the carpet. You'll find a compartment there with a lid on it. It's pretty easy to get to. My air pump has been acting up a lot, and after getting it replaced twice, I've just decided to leave it be for now. I think the real issue of my 16’ might be a leak in the bladder inside the seats, and that seems like it'd be a big hassle to fix.

Hey Mike newbie here just bought a 2013 g550 great condition except for confort seat pump keeps humming intermittently on passenger seat,what is your take on that.Thanks for feedback

There's only the one pump. If it keeps turning on, most likely there's an air leak somewhere

What was the error code? 9ea953 or 9ea998?
