Wait a min.. u changed the ism without putting car on rack? U actually got to it under the passenger seat? My 2010 says put in park with ot already in park.

My 2007 w221 has the same issue will this cause the car not to start? it is not cranking not shifting ? the shifting selector has no square over the letters? i scan it but i could not figure out what is wrong ?

The answer is yes. When this happens the car will not start or change gears

There is no name for that piece when scanning. But if you use xentry diagnostic it will show no can communication. Please see the video again and concentrate on the picture

The Main dealership (in the U.K ) call it ; The Power distributor, and depending on the Year and model of the vehicle there are quite a few different types, they have a Mercedes part number moulded unto the part, so shine a light at an angle and make sure you get the right one that needs replacing, bear in mind many have a 3 wire connector in the 1st part of that block, all the others it doesn't matter which one you place in the slot.
