I have recently come across your channel and have binged every video, I am currently doing a panel van into a camper, you are however doing the very van I wanted, enjoy the journey, some of it is easy some is very hard or confusing, but its a great learning experience, with a great result in the end,, I'm looking forward to following your journey.

These ex-mobility buses make great base vehicles for a camper conversion. I've convèrted two in the past, you get a good head start with dieseĺ heating and windows already fitted and loads of head and storage room. They are great value as well, but at 4.6 ton, it puts younger drivers off buying them as you need a C1 licence.

Hi guys just wondering being on a sprinter body and fibreglass can you still drive on a standard driving licence? .what weight is ? . I'm looking at a van to convert and these do tick a lot of boxes , you got a new subscriber

@@Daniel-qi4yr In Ireland, just strip eveything down (seats, lifts, yellow handle bars, etc.. put things needed for a campervan i.e. bed, sink and 2 burner hobs foldable table and s few seats (mine has 3) and down plate it with engineers (SQI) or from the Mercedes dealer and they will give you the new plates with new weight (3500 kgs).

@@Daniel-qi4yr yes that was a big question for me. It’s registered as a 3.5t so can be driven on a standard license although it measures more like a 4.5t.

That moho will never be under 3500kg in running trim, ie with all your furniture and fittings, batteries, clothes, water, etc I mean everything. You will need a C1 driving licence to drive legally and that is probably why the previous owner gave up on converting it and sold it. Sorry to be the bearer of bad news but that is how it is.
