Mercedes ML500 Problems/Update

I have a 1999 ML320 and just hit 359,000 miles but it has had only Amsoil 5W-40 European Synthetic since day one ...... One owner, the car is an Arizona car ......Maintain it well and they run forever........When I open the hood it looks like it did on day one.......But I replace somethings before it breaks and spray it every (3) months with Armorall Tire Foam.......

I like your style man, and I agree with you getting a stock airbox may help mass air problem. I imagine it has sucked up some crap and ruined the MAS. Can you try the stock box and a K&N replacement filter for flow?? Hope you get some enjoyment out of this great car

Whoever did that was probably thinking that it would make that Mercedes faster with that puddle sucker on it and no air box. What you need is the factory air box and the factory air filter back on it for sure.

It's a Mercedes, so it will not be cheap to maintain and repair.

Yeah. It came back on. Gotta get a new mass airflow sensor I guess. Oh well.😂😂😂

The air intake is too close to mas air flow u need a pipe to make the filter little farther so it can correctly read the air flow ... thats the problem ... wish could help 👌🏼

Mass airflow sensor was bad. I changed it and it never threw the code again. You have to use the OEM Bosch sensor. Aftermarket ones will fail. It takes less than 5 minutes to change.

Truck is long gone. Sold it to a so called friend, doing him a favor, who ghosted me and never paid me the money when I could've easily gotten around $2,000-$2500 for it.😥😥😥
