Mercedes R129 M119 - Accelerator / Bowden Adjustment 722.3 Throttle Guide Clip Replacement

In this video I replace the Accelerator Guide Clip on my R129 500SL, Some adjustments are needed after this if you made any changes to your throttle system. Together, we adjust the throttle cable and follow up with a bowden cable adjustment for the transmission. This applies to vehicles with a 722.3, 722.4 and 722.5 transmission along with others.
Doing this adjustment properly with other things in order will result in smooth shifts at the right time.

Hey I drive a '92 400SE.. still has the same M119 engine. I take it I'll be needing this clip as well? Took it to the mechanic and they re-used my old broken clip.. broke down again so I took a look at it and learned that this was my issue. Used a Toyota grommet to get home lol.

I had this exact problem on my R129, we also used zip ties to get home. 😂
