It should greatly improve the shifting quality, but there is no guarantee. Also depends how long the car has been driven in this broken state. If it has been driven with this problem for a long time there is possibility that the gearbox it self is already damaged. I would still do the valve body kit even if it dose not completely fix the problem it greatly improve the shifting and save the gear box. If you keep driving the car with this problem it will eventually cause damage to the gear box clutch packs and torque converter lockup clutch pack. Also check for coolant in the transmission fluid, if it is contaminated it will cause problems. These cars have the gearbox oil cooler built into the radiator that was know for failing and leaking coolant into the gearbox. There in an updated radiator to fix this problem. Also scan the car for codes this should give good idea of what is wrong with the car. The 13 pin connector can leak oil through the wiring harness into the tcu causing shifting problems, this will give a communication with tcu problem code. You can buy the sonnax overlap sleeve kit, sonnax tcc damper valve, and transgo shift kit on amazon, and conductor plate on FCP Euro. Hope this helps.
