Mercedes SLR Stirling Moss - Start Up and Driving in Monaco !

Here is another great car we saw during our summer holiday in Monaco this year and last year. The SLR Stirling Moss is only 1 of 75 ever built. New they cost around $800.000, but currently they go up for auction at around $2 Million. Most of them were made in silver, but we managed to see one in white with a red interior. The Stirling Moss has a 5.4-liter supercharged V8 producing 650HP and 819Nm of torque. It can go from 0-100 km/h (0-60mph) in 3.5s and it has a top speed of 349 km/h (217mph).

Perfect example of "more money than brains!" Love the car but.....a rock or any foreign object hitting your head at 85 mph+ can kill you instantly. I ride motorcycles with my face shield always down. Even when I hit a bug at 80+ mph, the impact can be felt by my cranium. These owners would impress me more with their SLR if they bought some type of fashionable helmet with proper eye protection.

They probably have them already but maybe just don't use helmets in the city where they won't drive more than 40-50km/h
