I'm always impressed by how clearly you explain the technical details , you obviously do your homework , and as a novice i'm grateful for your explanations . Also i agree , why spend hundreds of thousand when this vehicle will provide all you need for a fraction of that . Looking forward to future adventures .

There's quite a bit more room in there than I initially thought 👍 Keeping things simple usually means less things to break! I'm curious how the Mercedes fares out & about so I'm looking forward to seeing those results. Thanks Doc!

Hey Doc! What a nice surprise seeing a new video of yours on a Friday. Love how economical this build was, and how much space there is! Love that they have the DIY kits too. As always you’re the consummate spokesperson, and gorgeous as ever. Can’t wait to see your adventures in this van! Have fun, and stay safe!?

Doc, the van build is amazing. I love the look of everything you chose. The biggest thing is all the room you have. Of course, as you stated, none of your belongings are in the van at the moment. Please, hold back, you do not need to bring everything! 😀 I am looking forward to seeing you use the van in your adventures! As always Doc, Have Fun! 💜

Nice job kiddo looks pretty sharp. The only initial thing I saw I would want to add something to is the cubbies. I would put some sort of internal flush mount magnetically held rigid screen on them to prevent fall out. They wouldn't have to cover the whole hole, this would allow for quick grabs. But as you state, it can be modified for personal use.

5:19 finally someone gets it on electrical. Last year I was watching van life builds but all use the expensive Victron stuff that requires a professional electrician, money down the drain. Induction cook top that is portable/removable is also commendable. Cringey that van builds still has permanently installed induction or worse, gas.

You did good by going with the Mercedes,Ford Transit’s seem to need brake pad replacement more than usual along with rear hub bearings going bad. Only thing with the Mercedes and Ram Pro Masters is the front lower ball joints. Not like the Transits, just something to check when being serviced.

Your van build is truly amazing Hannah. That is by far the coolest van builds I've seen. My question to you through is what are you going to do with your truck and your other van? Is your new van build going to be used as a Fall/Winter vehicle and the other van and your truck will be used for Spring/Summer or do you plan to sell the mini Van and Truck down the line? Awesome Van, look forward to more great adventures.

Nice build but MAJOR error on the switches and outlets in the bed area. Always want to sleep with your head higher and that means head goes on the driver side. Roads and rest areas are crowned for run off of water so drivers side is usually the high side. I know I know that is not always the case but having had two rigs and slept all over the place the vast majority of time head up is drivers side. This is all predicated on solo sleeping.

They need a van that has a toyota V6 and hybrid system that you can expand and customize. The diesels would be great if it wasn't for the regulations choking them up. Need a simpler and more robust and DIY friendly platform. Since it looks like Wall Street will soon own everything around us and rent it back to us at their stated price.

I build kitchens and bathrooms for a living and it’s crazy to see the cost difference. Twice as many cabinets more electrical, more plumbing and twice the amount of work….. I’ve also fully built out a custom van for myself. All I’m tryna say is that that built really low quality but the same cost as a full size kitchen

You would be better off purchasing an included used van conversion as you are a newbie. All you'll need is a small amount of cleaning, a motor tune-up, and an inexpensive exterior pant job to have a fully functional bathroom for far less than $25,000 dollars.

Gotta see how you get up into that bed to pull the mattress out. And where is the water faucet for sink use? Little one looks like drinking water only. And, to me, the dark ceiling feels like it’s coming down on your head. But, if this is a weekend van, it has lots of toy space. My opinions, I know.

$25K, OK. And the Sprinter itself...another $80 grand? Did the $25 include adding 4 season insulation, or did you do extra prep before you gave it to them? Extended tanks? Chasis lift? Or was that ~$105k really all in?
