If you have trouble with the egr coming out, try to soak the bolt holes and sides with the carb cleaner. Also worth changing the gasket when ur in there

I have a 2022 sprinter 2500, when driving I sometimes get rough gear switches and sometimes my rpm randomly up shift by 1 gear for no reason, car is only 10k miles. Absolutely no trouble codes

Timestamp: 3:20. The EGR valve does NOT come out this easy. He took it off before hand with a lot of persuasion to make it look easy,

I have a 2013 sprinter and I clean the egr valve every 20,000 miles it’s a easy process, just be careful with the gasket , you should have a spare just in case. The longer you wait to clean the harder it is to remove

"Star" bits? No such tool. It's either a Torx or Spline socket. Which one is correct?

It'd be a female Torx socket

Couldn’t get the egr valve out of the housing… banged it with a hammer, pried it, yanked on it, swore at it… wouldn’t budge.

They don't come out easy at all. Someone needs to build a puller tool

Good video. But all the focusing on random hands and tubes just about drove me crazy. If you tap on your phone's screen where you want it to focus it won't focus on everything else. Also: e-torx. Not star bit.
