How great to see a prestigious company like Daimler Benz actually put real test vehicles into real world driving situations such as real people may experience, rather than rely on controlled conditions behind locked doors. Of course there are going to be some minor problems with such new and advanced technology, but Mercedes with their wealth of expertise and legendary build quality, will overcome such, to deliver to their fortunate customers, the outsanding vehicle they expect. Für Plug & Charge gibt es schon länger einen Standard und auch andere Autos können das schon, wurde nur noch nicht richtig umgesetzt www.auto-motor-und-sport.de/tech-zukunft/mobilitaetsservices/plug-and-charge-einfach-laden-probeleme/ Allerdings verstehe ich nicht ganz wie das die Problematik ändern soll. Plug & Charge ist ja nur eine andere Art der Identifikation. Also Auto anstecken anstatt Ladekarte vorhalten. Aber du brauchst ja trotzdem irgendwo einen Account. Oder mehrere. Und weißt die Preise nicht usw.

Unfortunately, I still have the feeling that the so nice looking concept car has turned into a very standard looking car of 2021... Not that it looks bad or anything, but I always find it a shame that you present something so new and the reality is always a completely different. The same applies to the BMW i4, by the way... Well otherwise if the rest is held, so the 700km range and the usual quality of Mercedes, then most would be satisfied with it I think anyway. Nevertheless, for me simply wasted potential to make what really special... :C

From the moment when new virtual clocks and screens with the MBUX system were introduced, and even more so, the new EQS model ceases to be a Mercedes for me. This is no longer a real Mercedes, it has nothing to do with history and tradition. I prefer to drive 20 or 30 year old Mercedes.

Hopefully Mercedes will help those who brought very expensive combustion driven cars from them in the past, in to obtain a good trade in value (i.e not a market driven value if they are found guilty of the current emission scandal) towards a obtaining one of these new electric cars from them and if they wish to change.
