Mercenaries 2 Custom Server test (LAN)

Works on local area network, though you can "make it online" using something like Hamachi. Seems to be working 100%, but I haven't played through the actual game yet (only once when the game was released, before EA took the servers down).

Hate to ask a dumb question, though normally it's something I can figure out on my own, but how in the world do you set such a thing up? >.> Ive followed a couple guides telling me to make a shortcut, put in my ipv4 etc. Though when it comes down to the in game part, it just simply keeps trying to connect to EA servers and have no clue on how to get around, bought this game again for PC for me and my buddy and were looking to play it. Google for something like "Mercenaries 2 custom server" or "Mercenaries 2 private server", it should be easy to find the files for it. From what I tested, however, you gotta use them with the 1.0 version of the game (which I had on my original DVD... the digital version on Origin, which I also purchased, is not the 1.0 version... and it didn't work...)
