the new enemies in this version, especially the lil buggers you wouldn't at first expect to be suicide bombers, are pretty nice. can't wait to see what else is in store for this game.

Man some of the people in your chat need to grow up. I'm going to have to buy this one. The upgrades from your last video really helped it appeal to me.

I played the original demo for a couple hours earlier this year. The strategy that I found works best for mining is to start at the 2nd row and then just do every third row. Since you can see minerals above your tunnel and below your tunnel, its the least number of actions while still covering all of the ground. Tractor beam is definitely a big help since you only need to drag minerals to the center of the map.

I wanted to mention this about the type of demo release this game and others do, because of how tight for money I am I absolutely love this way of development, cause I can actually try out a game for if I enjoy it before paying for it, 9/10 games I own I played a free version first and most of them I never would have ever played if I hadn't played some variant of it for free before hand

The dev of Delta V: Rings of Saturn has a really interesting blog post about the effects of offering the full game for free as a demo. If I'm remembering correctly, he said that having the complete experience available as a free demo resulted in an increased amount of purchasers

In regards to the difficult and easy TD conversation that was in there, I think there's two valid sides to it. Some TDs are inherently easy even if you've never played it before solely because they don't break the mold. For numerous cookie-cutter TDs, you can figure out your slow tower, your ice tower, your AoE tower, your single target, etc. at a glance. You can figure out the bulky enemies, the fast enemies, the weak swarm enemies, the fliers, at a glance. Going into a game with a formula already in mind, you can viably beat the game on your first try. That said, the games that *do* break the mold are the ones that throw a veteran player for a loop. When your towers start to fire in strange shapes, or interact with nearby towers in interesting ways, or have mechanics unique to the TD's story somehow, the games become much harder. Take you, for example, you know how and where to place your slow towers and your AoE towers in Rogue Tower at a whim. It's not only your experience in Rogue Tower, but many previous TDs like Gemcraft. Rogue Tower is unfortunately, one of the formulaic ones, and you can mostly apply the same tactics as any other TD.

gosh how are you not a master at this game already? I beat the a full run of this game after my first 10 attempts! Easy stuff - Total baby's game. I mean come on, even a complete newb would know after like the first 6 runs that the "Manual Shield" boost upgrade has to actually be moved to and pressed before a battle wave. Not that it took that long for me, I figured that out in 4~! --Sorry Sorry XD this is a complete sarcastic joke, playing on what was said in the video. Seriously agree with what you've said, first time dives into games like these can be quite difficult until you know certain things. Really annoying when people forget that and feel the urge to belittle others for not catching on and getting good quickly at such things. Like, I didn't figure to use the "2 block" method of digging till my 3rd attempt. Didn't think I had to manual activate the shield booster till my 4th (that... felt less like an Aha! Moment and more like a "oh... well now I feel dumb" XD ) And I seriously undervalued the power of that aiming upgrade for the laser. It helps SO MUCH in quickly hitting and dispatching those flying units. Now it's almost always my first combat upgrade. (depending on my first dig I decide between getting a better drill or faster move speed. Usually getting better pick up second and the last one 3rd. Those first few rounds really can make a huge difference. And ya, I try now to really only dig through stuff that takes 2 hits or less if I can manage it) Just got the game the other day and started looking for let's plays of it. I know this is half a year difference by now and they have changed a decent chunk of the UI! It's pretty nice actually (the turret icon doesn't look like a pile of boop XD as what I first thought when I saw it) Anyhow, good video, always enjoy your little incites into things. Perfect background noise while I work on art.

I never liked watching the "elite god gamer" streamers. Wander and the others I watch are not bad gamers, don't misunderstand. But I find the whole min/max speedrun top score streamers to be both less entertaining content wise and kinda boring gameplay wise. I want the struggle, the drama, the discovery! And humor. The faceplant moments make it feel like hanging out with an friend instead of simply being in the room with an untouchable celebrity.

wb seems unaware of minecraft optimal mining .. strips of 2 unmined blocks for maximal exposure

That tactic is less optimal in this version of the game. Tile hardness is varied throughout the map, instead of getting harder the deeper you go like in the previous demo. Often going where the tiles are softest is the best way to quickly gather resources, instead of strip mining.
@jde122 жыл бұрын
In minecraft you're better off leaving 3 blocks, maybe even 4, since ores generate in veins. Also you can do 1-high poke holes for maximum exposure.
