The STL Tonality Josh Middleton is a guitar plugin suite developed exclusively from the signature guitar sounds of Josh Middleton, a UK guitarist and producer. He is best known for playing guitar in the bands Architects and Sylosis.
The plugin includes Middleton’s preferred pedals, amplifiers, and cabinet settings. It was designed by STL Tones and Josh Middleton to capture all the sonic aspects that make his guitar tones so distinct.
The amplifiers in the plugin are based on the following equipment:
Amp 1: Based on Josh’s personal Peavey© 5150™ Block Letter.
Amp 2: Based on a Peavey© XXX™ amplifier.
Amp 3: Based on a Mesa Boogie© Dual Rectifier© Multi-Watt™.
The plugin also includes a pre-effects section composed of 4 pedals modeled from Josh’s personal collection. In addition, Josh worked closely with the STL Tones team to incorporate a combination of his favorite Equalizer, Delay, and Reverb effects.
The cabinet section of Middleton’s plugin has an infinite amount of adjustability. Each of Josh Middleton’s four preferred cabinets and six speakers were measured with four different microphones in over 156 positions, totaling 3744 IRs captured to achieve maximum realism and accuracy across all cabinets and microphones.
