Strong running motor, i had one of these on a 19ft cuddy cabin Sportcraft caprice, heavy boat and when loaded down by the folks and every other goodies on my boat. Getting UP on plane with the torque was not a problem, it didn't break a sweat. This motor with a merc stainless prop was able to hit 34-35mph, not blisterimg but all the johnson and evinrude 90' were all out of the hole with myself (250lbs) and 2 friends that weigh about 450-500lbs themselves.

@@nickmcafee26 Mine goes 38 on a 17' Proline CC with about 900-1000lbs of gear/crew aboard. Same exact motor/year
