I watched some of the video he did with Acid Horizon. It’s encouraging to see there’s a multiplicity of people reading Nietzsche out there and that just by reading someone you don’t necessarily have to come to all the same conclusions, or worry about being tarred and feathered for reading stuff that isn’t deemed appropriate for the liberal majority. So often it seems like a game of “oh so you read x that must mean you are one of those guys” or that all this things collapse into consumer habits where you buy your way into some identification system built around consumer marketing demographics…

but... the ego fantasy element of astrology; that's a cheapened bad version ... i mean, its the worst version for why people want astrology.... and even what they expect from it/ it should instead be about wisdom... right?

to me, combining philosophy with astro is way more exciting ..... i avoid the pictures of jet setting ppl.... its pretty gross...if anything, i've read about the spiritual resort industry and how it had hurt local people...tribal practices of spirituality beginning to cater to tourists, etc !!! you're sitting on a goldmine, lol 😂 do what you're best at

I agree, the problem is that when I was studying Astrology and getting started it was these Astrologers who appeal to this kind of "ego fantasy" that were trying to get me to join their groups, take me under their wing etc.. and I was always running into this conflict because there seemed to be some kind of basic misunderstanding at this level. I suppose not all the Astrology scene is like this, or that Astrology Practice does not necessarily have to be like this... it has more to do with Social Media Influencer Culture, or the influence of MLM on "Spiritual Community" ... (BTW I Mean Multi Level Marketing, not Marxist Lenin-Maoism). The problem is that even the best astrologers I find are falling into the Gravitational Influence of Social Media Influencer Culture... or if you want to be popular it's part of the structure of this media that you have to appeal to those kinds of crowds. It becomes this thing where it's not really about the Astrology it's more about "Lifestyle Branding". This is why I always go back to McLuhan, The Medium is the Message / Massage... it's a constant process of "massaging" you into being a different person, adopting a different lifestyle...
