Appreciate the no nonsense review of these headsets. Strange but in europe I haven't seen PC38X in stock for a long time.

I think the EPOS shutdown is going to make them difficult to get your hands on. Pardon my ignorance, but are you able to order them from the Drop website? Or do they not ship overseas / the cost is insane? drop.com/buy/drop-epos-pc38x-yellow-gaming-headset

Thanks for a detailed and a practical video. I was so confused looking and all the reviews and reading Rtings and other reviews. I work on multiple computers and ability to use this on both at a time, one with dongle and other with BT is huge thing for me. Also I already have Razer DA V2 Pro (due to same ability to switch to BT and 2.4) I don't have to download another piece of software as I already have use synapse. Though only one thing I don't like about this headset is they lack detachable mic and it can't be flipped out of my face when I don't want it.

I'm using a HyperX Cloud 2 (wired) for years and I see your points, but as a competitive gamer the Cloud 2 was for me always unbeatable in competitive gaming - I hear for example steps so much earlier what saved me in so many rounds... maybe next time you can test a gaming setting with a game like Hunt Showdown, Rainbow6Siege or Tarkov

Honestly, i like the sound of the clouds mic after the swap to 3200khz, very clear, blacksharks mic doesn't sound as clear and you can hear robotic like compression if you listen close. I have the blackshark shark v2 pro 2023 and mic is much better, but i get it...its more! The battery is insane on the clouds also.
@Ariranhaa23 күн бұрын
HyperX has 50+ hours of battery life over Razer's and the hinges are all metal outside of the cups. Also, it looks more sober, which is good if you'll use it in work meetings and more serious activities. For the same price point, I'd recommend Blackshark only if you really need bluetooth.

How is the mic noise cancellation on the Blackshark V2? I would really appreciate the input, I'm trying to find a wireless headset with a good mic and sound quality, but WITHOUT or with bad noise cancelling, girlfriend likes hearing me typing when i'm not talking much over the mic. Thanks man!

I heard the out-of-box tuning/eq for the Cloud 3s are a lot better while the Blackshark V2 are muddy. I owned the budget V2X and hated it, the Cloud 3 are slightly worse than the Alpha Wired, which is miles ahead of the V2X. Also r u going to review the logitech x astro headset in the background?
@MercuryTV3 ай бұрын
My take is that you pretty much have to mess with the EQ settings for the Blackshark out of the box while I honestly didn’t touch the tuning for the Cloud IIIs for a very long time. Neither hold a candle to the audio from the Pro X 2s I reviewed a few weeks ago. And yes I plan on doing a review and comparison of those A50x’s you saw in the background. WAAAAAAAAY OVERPRICED even if they are pretty nice.

i must be honest, i never thought about the blackshark... i dont want it.... i was more interested in the hyperx part, i mean, tbh, the gadgetrytech review gave lots more info and tbh i think its going to either be the cloud 3 OR the steelseries arctis nova 5....i dont need bluetooth, i dont need extra crap... i just need a decent mic with good sounds and a nice wireless long lasting battery XD i know many will say the steelseries is better.. but thats, i guess, mainly cause of the extra stuff it has... stuff i dont need lol... i just wonder which has the better sound of those...gadgetrytech says the mic is better on the cloud 3 though... but its still good on the steelseries

I have Blackshark V2 pro 2023, mic and sound are very good, but build quality is awful. Plastic hinge above the earcups cracked 3 times already (want to admit I'm very careful with headset). And as I can see on Reddit and etc. it's not a single issue. So now I'm waiting for cloud 3 (hope build quality for hyperx on the same level as cloud 2), so will see. Thanks for this comparison.

Is it possible to use Cloud 3 while charging? (i know the cable is short, but i could just another cable)
@MercuryTV2 ай бұрын
Just tried myself - yes you can, but I got pretty significant static interference while doing so. However, I found out that was due to the mic being so close to the USB cable. Once I muted the mic the static went away.

I'm considering either one of those two, im gaming and im working as well from home. I'm not sure will hyperx cloud 3 wireless suit enough for work from home in call center or maybe better option to go with razer then.

I won’t lie, for work calls I like the Cloud IIIs because the mic monitoring/ side tone is more prominent.

I returned them couple of days later and got hyper x cloud 3 best decision i ever made they sound amazing i hear everything and the mic is amazing and better build quality headphones hope this helps to someone have a good day
@FaelonZ12 күн бұрын
blackshark is handsdown way better in every way. I had so many weird problems with my hyperx, the adjustments were unevenly loose so the left side just slipped for no reason. The mic would sometimes have like 10 db of gain added for no reason until I muted and unmuted the mic. And the mic picks up everything, even the mute button as you go to mute, so as you're muting that loud click noise (which is insanely annoying even to the user) is heard by everyone every time you mute. The sidetone was good, and the software was simplistic, but it just had so many weird issues. The only thing I've seen with the blackshark so far is that when you mute the mic (if using sidetone) there is a small cut in audio, it only happens when the sidetone is active. It's most likely a software issue, I am using the new synapse beta so it's probably a small bug, but other than that after some simple EQ they sound great and the mic is amazing.

HyperX really messed up with these Cloud 3. Listening to music with them is an horrible experience. My $40 Logitech headset sounded better.
@MercuryTV3 ай бұрын
I think their biggest sin is the price point they’re competing at. Cloud IIIs should be under 100 IMO. At 130-150 most other options offer significantly more in terms of features with on par or better audio and comfort.
