I was feeling cornered and miserable due to some unforeseen circumstances that have turned my life upside down. Jesus Himself said in Luke 8:21 "And He answering, said to them, “My mother and My brothers are those who are hearing the Word of God and doing it.” This is after belief that we walk in it because we are made new and the Spirit enables us to do so (Jer 31:33/Eze 36:26-27.) So it is very possible the statement you made could also be said for those that think there is nothing we should do. Jesus Himself said otherwise.

MercyMe and Casting Crowns speak to me the way that Amy Grant, Michael W. Smith and Rich Mullins spoke to me back in the day. I remember watching Rich Mullins open for Amy Grant and even though her album had pretty much already saved me, when Richard Mullins got to the chorus of Elijah I hit my knees right there and then and gave myself to the Lord.
