This is my testimony. Paranoid schizophrenic with bipolar and ADD since I was 5. I had visions of heaven and hell and demons and Jesus. One of them was him holding me and hugging me on my bed. Adopted from a drug ridden mental patient mother. Never met my birth dad. Was hanging around gangs and guns and abuse and drugs were my thing. Tried to commit suicide many times and in the mental hospital 9 times. Was on the move all the time never sat still. Bad grades no college and on disability (still am) im only 22 years old. I was last all my life, mentally, socially, spiritually. But Jesus wanted to put me first. Praise God! He saves!

He turned to me and I witnessed to him and even though he is an athiest he said he was praying! He's an addict too that has never known a real family and he thinks of me now as a mom. I just got back from an Israel Biblical tour of Jesus Ministries with my son's church group. While on this Biblical tour of Jesus's ministries, what came to me was an incredibly profound need, urge, and will to have a stronger relationship with our Father. So, it came to me, while traveling the steps of Jesus ministries, with attentive ears and open eyes, I was sent and received signs of the Holy Spirit, some loud and obvious, others inaudible internal. Some through righteous fellowship of the Word and the Way. Some came in the depths while in meditation and reflection. And then Christ found me. This song took me back to the moment I was Saved. We went to the MercyMe Concert in Louisville, KY last Nov 23’ and it was awesome!!! I’m so glad that they’re touring soon so count at least 4 of us there. I too play the “I Can Only Imagine” dvd each morning as a reset. I was suffering a lot of misery yet played this loud in the hot shower. “This is in your hands my Lord.” I got called for surgery which was at least a month early- 5 fusions in the L-S back section. I’m so grateful to have Him as my rock or probably wouldn’t have made it. I darn near crawled up & down the venue stairs in Louisville yet I wasn’t going to miss this concert as my soul needed this.

As a nonbeliever we were broken and depressed, lost and spiritually dead. But once we met Jesus, it’s over. Once you truly accept Jesus as your Lord and savior, you should no longer be broken and depressed. If you are, you don’t understand who Jesus is and what He did for you. Serve Him, seek Him, love Him and you will never lack for anything again. I was suffering from depression and post traumatic stress disorder but then I met Jesus. I can barely hold back the tears of joy as I write this. He cured me of these mental disorders. I have been free from them all for the past 15 years. He is the only treatment that worked for me. Jesus is the way, the truth, and the life.

I'm here listening to this song again, reminding myself of my late PawPaw, who sadly was called back Home on August 19, 2022, after spending nearly a month in the hospital with late-stage heart failure. He was my best friend, and I will forever miss him. His favorite song that him and I would listen to together was "I Can Only Imagine" by MercyMe. He always talked about a near-death experience he had in 1975 when he was having surgery for a skull fracture he had. There were pieces of skull in his brain that had to be removed, and during that operation, he met Jesus. He said he went up to a white, bright light, so bright that you couldn't look directly at it, he said. He told me that he then heard a deep, male voice say, "Go back, it's not yet your time." He said afterward, he woke up on the operating table. GOD allowed for my PawPaw to live for nearly 50 more years after that encounter. I was so blessed to have had him for 24 years of my life, and I look forward to meeting him again in Heaven. Please pray for me, as I still miss him a lot.

I accepted jesus as my lord and saviour in 2021 by watching a gospel video at my dads house since then I prayed to God everyday listen to the bible preach the gospel switched out ungodly or non Christian music I listened to for godly Christian worship music started to listen to Christian radio and went to church thank you lord jesus for saving me mercy me you are an incredible and blessed Christian band praise glory power and worship belongs to the lord God is the only one who can save you and free you from your mistakes shame and sin God deserves our trust in him and deserves our worship praise the lord all the days of our lives amen
