Merdeka 118 Light Show | 2024 | Munoha Tour

KUALA LUMPUR - Menara Merdeka 118 which is Malaysia's new landmark building was finally officially opened tonight after almost 10 years of construction.
The second tallest building in the world after the Burj Khalifa was inaugurated by the Yang di-Pertuan Agong Al-Sultan Abdullah Ri'ayatuddin Al-Mustafa Billah Shah and the Raja Permaisuri Agong Tunku Azizah Aminah Maimunah Iskandaria who was willing to defame royalty.
The opening ceremony of the 678.9 meter high building is understood to start at about 7.30pm while the opening gimmick light show starts at 10.15pm.
When the colorful lights were projected, the shout of 'Merdeka' by the first Prime Minister of Malaysia, the late Tunku Abdul Rahman Putra al-Haj also echoed around the skyscraper.
For the record, the design of this minaret symbolically also reflects the image of the late Tunku Abdul Rahman Putra Al-Haj when he raised his hands to chant 'Merdeka' 64 years ago.
Meanwhile, the tower also became the focus of the city's citizens when it appeared that people from the surrounding area did not miss the opportunity to witness the opening of the light show by making live broadcasts and taking videos.

I kinda like the low-key opening ceremony- however those LED lights need fixing- it's a shame they were not lit up properly for the opening! I guess they are rushing?

Something not right to the LED light… broken line…!! This doesn’t look good honestly. Is that so called final already or need some fine tuning later on before the real launching next year when 118mall completed…? Remember ya this is not an ordinary skyscraper…this is a megatall structure, Malaysia iconic building with a title ‘world’s second tallest building’…so everything should be looked into even to such a small detail. Hope PNB as a client and its consultant teams are aware of this…TQ
