HUM TV’s drama serial Mere Ban Jao is a story of love, trust, deceit and repercussions. Ufff the way they have portrayed a toxic guy character is so accurate, so realistic. Usually in films and dramas, to show an abusive husband they show extreme characters only who hit the girl or even try to murder her etc. But this type of emotional abuse is rarely shown. Hats off to the team of this drama for highlighting this form of abuse, which is often ignored in real life and in dramas/movies etc. In fact, most people don't even consider it abusive behaviour and often blame the victim.

And jab bhi Uzmi Fardeen ki koi baat nhi manti thi ya Fardeen k saath jaane k liye razi nhi hoti thi tab bhi Uzmi ki maa usko gussa karti thi. Hamesha ek hi hidayat deti rhi ki Fardeen ki baat mana karo. Ye sikhaya hi nhi ki koi baat acchi na lage toh mana karna chahiye. And talaq k lafz sunke hi aisi overacting ki toh woh kaise batati.
