Hala went from a strong willed, confident 4 year old with a dad to grow into a beaten down, weak, shy girl when she got older. This goes to show how important it is for children to grow up around their parents and people who love them and speak to them with kindness and encouragement. Hala grew up with people who spoke down to her and made her feel like dirt, like she was nothing therefore that's what she grew up believing about herself, that she's nothing.
