Love these together 💖 even if the rumors are true and there where problems on the set I could care less! They were perfect together. You can just feel the connection. I know some people quit watching when Derek died 💔Not me! I’m staying until the end. 👍🏻😍 BUT I do have to agree that Ellen and Patrick should have been paid the same salary. 🤩

Patrick wanted out and they knew Derek would never leave his wife and kids so unfortunately killing him off was the only way to go. There is even a deleted scene from Alex and Meredith that talks about why he suddenly came back that involved the girl from DC but Shonda didn't like cause it wasn't Dereks character. Their love for 11 seasons would've seemed like a lie so they killed him. Ellen, Patrick and Shonda had multiple meetings about what to do with his character.
