In my experience, it is best not to merge the chests. I opened the entire Arcadia map months ago and the only relic I’m still working on are the towers still have to discover the last two towers

It may be worth in exact items opening lower lvl chests, but you won’t get legendary items or less. For example: the lvl 1, 2 and 3 chests give no legendary items, the lvl 4 chest gives one legendary item and the lvl 5 chest gives 4 legendary items. It’s your choice if u want legendary relics or not
