You should do a series showing the worst cases for some sorts, instead of always the average case, like backwards-sorted input is a problem for a lot of them.

takes small samples and sorts them with weave method (take the second half of a sample and "weave" it with the first half, placing them in alternating order between first and second half, then sort by standard), then repeat with each sample until reaching the end; then combine two adjacent samples and repeat down the line, until you sort the two largest samples comprising the entire set

i just thought of one of the most cursed sorts ever ULTRA SORT (this uses buckets) basically one sort sorts other sorts (like bucket sort but no sorting) and the other sweepers do sorts on the buckets

Yeah "merge in place" is not really as effective as the normal approaches
