Yeah. There are random difficulty spikes. When you beat down a boss that can do a slow casting instant wipe attack (you know who I mean) only to get totally obliterated by the next random encounter, it's time to re evaluate your party. Again.

The last floor right before the last boss is the real deal. Was only a couple of parts before that to me that was considered at all hard. Those Wanabe heartless fast dudes are crazy fast. But I figured by targeting the other enemies and not them directly that helped alot.

@iamLI3 at the least you can train to level 99 if you wanted. That would take ages on grandia 1 and 2 since experience slows down alot at low levels.

The only thing Grandia III had going for it was.. the music. Though Grandia II is my absolute favorite of the series, Grandia III had comparable music, even though the rest of it pretty much sucked. x_o I also like V1 of the fight theme better. >>

Square Enix had nothing to do with Grandia 2. So don't blame them on something they had nothing to do with. Also Grandia 2 was almost as good as the first one.
