The geometric shapes of property lands in Merida City present architectural challenges, allowing landowners to be creative when designing their houses. :))

Necessity is the mother of invention. I've seen some amazing 3meter wide homes.

Amy, Tampa here. I liked your AIRBNB better. Also, I agree with you that there should be at minimum, a 1/2 bathroom in the front of the house. Bet it would have been a simple fix. Thanks for the walk through.

Hey Paul, too kind! Yes I would have preferred to stay in my own house. ;) Someday. And YES to the 1/2 bath. Even if it is a teeny one.

What part of Washington state are you from? There seems to be a lot of people from the PNW living in Merida.

Born and raised in Portland. I live in Scappoose now in a tiny floating home.

I'd love to meet other PNW peeps. So far I only know people from California. But, I am not in Mérida long enough yet to find friends.

,$150 us dollars per night?! In Mexico that is a gringo price!

Another overpriced airbnb in Merida. How do you know? Just check the availability...
@DestinationRetirementАй бұрын
Often if someone is booking super last minute they can negotiate a lower rate. There is a feature in Air bnb that allows for that.
@markdavidelsey9437Ай бұрын
@@DestinationRetirement It's still very overpriced for the Merida market. Most visitors to Merida are a couple or solo for 3-4 nights. This airbnb is 4 years on the app but with the same amount of posted reviews as my 2 year old 1bedroom casita. With the right pricing this airbnb would be much busier. Also, the proprietor has multiple listings which probably means the work is contracted out, which means high overhead and headaches of its own. Just something to think about for others considering buying in Merida.

Love that pool.

Me too. I swam in it every night to beat the heat in Mérida.
