Thanks, another great video. I have had Merlin App on my phone forever but never used it. Main reason I didn't know how to get a picture to them from my camera. Now I do and will be using it.

Just for fun since you mentioned it. Color, The average memory time frame for color is less than 3 seconds. That is why when a police officer asking for a description of the suspect, may well get 4-5 different colors on jeans and t shirt etc. I only say this, because most folks don't know that. Which could explain why when you mention someone calling you and they get the color wrong or the color they recall the best, from the colors, Interesting fact, thought I would share with you since you mentioned colors etc. Thanks for the video and have a blessed weekend and Merry Christmas. There is an app called Birdnet made in conjunction with Cornell that ids bird song it works pretty well.

Can you describe the Sound ID? Specifically, if it identifies a particular bird - such as a Northern Parula in Hendersonville, NC on April 20 --- how accurate is the sound ID?

Thank a lot for this work, for this device so useful. Do you know if it is possible to apply a similar algorithm to identify birds from a wave file, on the computer ? I record birds with passive logger and I would like to extract the species. Best regards.

Now there is BirNet-analyzer... same algorithms I believe. It has an interface, but it's a bit for nerds, build with Python, command line... not as straightforward as Merlin. Also Raven Pro and other softwares if you are ready to pay!

I think you have a typo in your title of this video. It says "Merin Bird ID" and I think it should be "Merlin"

I am going to delete this app. I have had to recreate my account three times, and it still keeps giving me trouble.

Too many "uh's" for me! Drives me insane to hear people say "uhh" constantly while talking. Had to end the video and move onto another one.
