Last November, I went to a hair dresser on Newberry Street, in Boston. The hair dresser asked me if I’m Ethiopian and I told her that I’m and she said used to work for Mr Taddios and how great of a person he was to work for and his wife’s goes to get her hair done whenever she is in Boston. It’s delighting to hear positive about fellow Ethiopian. This lady now works on Newbury st in Boston- she is the only black beautician in the area following Mr Taddios.

Is a good man we know each other way back then when we both young on our 20s early twenties in Chicago we became friends and not only friends we became roommates later on work at the same hotel Westin hotel for a while we have a lot of memories who created our little group young Ethiopians back then in Chicago we live in the same neighborhood we getting together social life was great at that time just everything was good and I'm pretty sure he'll remember all that and I was happy to see him the first time I noticed that he's getting to this position I just couldn't believe it for a second it was him and I was so happy and thrilled that he was successful and he is still successful and I'm proud of him I'm pretty sure you remember me when he see my name on the comments Colin and I'm still living in the USA Washington DC

Wow, I was so interested in this episode that I completely lost track of time! Mr. Tadiwos's passion for his business, respect for his staff, and strong belief in God really shone through in his words. You can tell everything he says comes straight from the heart, and it's written all over his face. I'm left feeling inspired and wanting to meet him in person and learn from him. He's a true hero, and his contributions to his country are invaluable. A big thank you to Meri for bringing such an incredible guest on!

Humility is not typically the first trait that comes to mind when I think about Tadios. We met each other while we were in college in Boston, MA. He was extremely polite and a very respectful man. Visionary, courageous, charismatic - these qualities most of us associate with him. I am proud of him to see him succeed
What an amazing inspirational man !!! Wish you many more success. Your legacy will move on to generations

He has a clear purpose why he does business and gets the satisfaction from it. I hope he published a book, this can teach future leaders that to the best is not to be strict and hard on your employees. Love and compassion go a long way in leadership. Also, profit is not only money. Profit is a happiness you get when you see others succeed because of you. A very humble and honest person. Truly inspiring!

I have traveled to a few African countries, and it's sad to see the land and economies owned by non-locals, as simple as a cave for a visit in Zanzibar is owned by someone in Europe. Visionaries like Tadiwos can change the entire industry for the rest of the country and beyond!
wowww! This kind of people makes me believe in ETHIOPIA/AFRICA. Thank you Tadios for your impact. You are a hero and an inspiration to many. You changed a country.

A founder sets the tone of a business's brand, and Tadios is an excellent example! As a hospitality company, he has been setting the tone on a daily basis by meeting and greeting as many of his people as possible. No wonder why Kuruftu possesses world-class customer service. Since his team members (internal customers) receive exceptional customer service from their leader, it is not hard for his people to extend the same extraordinary service to the outside customers. I can’t wait to stay at one of its sites...

Wow i am also a diaspora and do the same business (resort) but totally different approach but the same 100% experiences. I didn’t know this man before but due to this interview i learned him more and see that he is doing what he loves!!! The same with me! But Ethiopians our people need such a person locally and diasporas to show them the way. Unfortunately Ethiopians are focused only on money and short cut!! That is certainly foolishness. My Allah bless his path I like to meet him personally

I wish you guys asked him, as to why his Djibouti venture failed. It could be a good reference as to why Ethiopian businesses failed to become an international....and if there is any cooperation with 'Haile resort' another home grown brand.i am sure he has learnt a lot from the 'Bekele Mollas', i liked most his 'African Village' idea. Anyways wishing him Kiruftu will become an international Hotel chain.

I have seen that almost all successful business people in Ethiopia are from the diaspora community. These business people have great experience, strength, finance and expertise in their area of operation. Government should target them more for support and partnership.

I think your conclusion is wrong. Much of the business people in Ethiopia are local. I even think that most of the diaspora loos hope (due to hardship in opening and operating business in Ethiopia) to early and leave the country in spite of their big dreams for their country.
