In SBI PO Mains, they asked to outline the plan of the program, how it should be. Answering that became challenging task. I ended up writing 180+ words. They did not even mention word limit for letter, unlike essay.

Anand, it's normally body, but still read instructions carefully. Most of the times they might not mention the word limit to avoid this confusion, then you are free to write whatever you feel like.

John, Letter is good word limit wise, but the essay is too less. a 200+ would have been better. Assuming you have taken care of the important things, expect, less marks in essay and good in letter. Together it should be enough. Let's hope for the best

Yeah Shubham, in this exam you might not be able to give space between two lines. Kindly read the instruction carefully before attempting. That would answer your queries such as these in the exam and also would tell you if there is any change.

If word limit is not given then write letter b/w 100-150 and essay b/w 150-200. Grammar you can check easily using in build word tools or grammarly. For word count just make an approx count based on words on one line multiplied by no. of lines

Hi sir. In descriptive part, specially in letter writing we can't press two enters at a time to keep gap between the To and From address and where ever we.need to give gap in between. I don't know me only had the problem or everyone facing the same problem.

Sarath In SBI PO students said that it was mentioned in the instructions that double enter wouldn't work. So, first of all, please read the instructions carefully. Also, if something doesn't work for everyone it doesn't matter. Now coming to what to do in IBPS. As I said in lecture, if you are allowed to place 2 enters and give an extra gap, you can do so, if not then just put one gap and that would be enough.

Yes Nilambari Dear is an accepted salutation nowadays until and unless you are writing to a chair for example president, governor, judges etc. There also Dear isn't wrong per se but it's better to use Respected

Not necessary to use To but as in SBI, if in IBPS also, you are not allowed to keep an extra gap between the 2 addresses (as double enter didn't work), then it's better to use a To for clarity. In any case read the instructions carefully and know what is allowed or not, in descriptive, in terms of key strokes.

Yes Srisai, some key functions might be disabled. But don't worry they wouldn't be handicap and moreover it would be for everyone. Just read the instructions given carefully, they explain it there and work accordingly

We were able to give space between words but were unable to give it between lines and were unable to write from where we wanted to start the line. We were compelled to start from very left. Many more guys whom i talked with faced this weird issue🧐
