Merkava MK.IV (Test Driving+Showcase) {Plane crazy}

The Merkava (Hebrew: מרכבה, [mɛʁkaˈva] Translation:("chariot") is a series of main battle tanks used by the Israel Defense Forces and the backbone of the IDF's armored corps. The tank began development in 1970,[6] and its first generation, the Merkava mark I, entered official service in 1979.[7] Four main variants have been deployed. As of 2023, the Merkava mark IV is the latest version. The Merkava was first used extensively in the 1982 Lebanon War. The name "Merkava" was derived from the IDF's initial development program name.
The tank was developed in the Merkava and Armored Combat Vehicles Division of the Israeli Ministry of Defense, and most of its parts are manufactured in Israel. The Merkava was designed to provide maximum protection for its crew, and therefore its front armor was fortified and the engine placed in the front part of the tank, unlike most other tanks.
Design criteria include rapid repair of battle damage, survivability, cost-effectiveness, and off-road performance. Following the model of contemporary self-propelled howitzers, the turret assembly is located closer to the rear than in most main battle tanks. With the engine in front, this layout is intended to grant additional protection against a frontal attack, so as to absorb some of the force of incoming shells, especially for the personnel in the main hull, such as the driver. It also creates more space in the rear of the tank that allows increased storage capacity and a rear entrance to the main crew compartment allowing easy access under enemy fire. This allows the tank to be used as a platform for medical disembarkation, a forward command and control station, and an infantry fighting vehicle. The rear entrance's clamshell-style doors provide overhead protection when off- and on-loading cargo and personnel.
well, i had this build for THREE MONTHS, and I didnt have a feeling of showcasing it…. so i did
stop asking for tut of this build u bums! asking for tutorials wont help, neither u wont learn, but i suggest: MAKE YOUR OWN TANK OR JET OR PLANE,ETC
messages and a note to all: IM NOT GONNA SHOWCASE OF WHAT THE MOTOR LOCKED TOWER LOOKS LIKE IF I DESPAWN IT, IVE SEEN VIEWERS ATTEMPTING TO COPY MOTOR LOCKED TOWER BUILDS AND I DONT LIKE IT……

thanks man, Its recommended for you to build the Mark I turret since the later versions had Add-On-Armor added which makes it harder to build and angle correctly.

sorry for the late response yes, here are few tips: The wheels that are placed in the hull need to be compact and materialized as metal or default because the hull is smaller unlike western mbts The Merkava’s turret is placed in the rear is because the transmission and engine are placed in the front (OPTIONAL) you may place tnt armor as your protection because the merkava I built was for pvp and public. For the rear, i suggest you put ballast blocks because theres a entrance in the rear for infrantry or tank crews to get in the tank easier (more of a IFV, like the puma)

Why is the body so small? I’m pretty sure merkava turret smaller than chassis

ok first reason, I built this merkava as a PVP tank, the reason i have to build the hull smaller is because supposedly to have a smaller profile to likely not get attracted to seeking missiles and i built it to hide from aviations aswell as making it a fast tank (with rockets to boost the speed to 120-156 kmh, this also means i can get away quicker) 2nd reason, i couldnt make the turret small due to compact motorlock and big pieces (armed with tnt armor) not being able to minimize the size that well also, the tank is armored with tnt armor fully, so its also the reason i couldnt make the hull somewhat widened
