Setting "10!", I almost closed my eyes for the first pass, but well done Paul. Thank you for the lovely burst of color Mrs. H, it's snowing heavy here so to see those beautiful flowers gives us the hope of spring to come. Good report from my cardiologist this morning, so I'll see him in a year. Thank you for the mention, it made Mrs. W and I smile. She is planning her garden despite the snowstorm. It will be a smaller garden with tomatoes, beans, zucchini, peas, and peppers. I'm planning an extra bean patch too. Everything will have to be fenced due to the deer and rabbits. When I opened the patio blinds at 4am there was four deer waiting for me, they could feel that storm coming and wanted their treat. Congratulations on the 12k subs! Take care, Ossie

Great shave, Paul. You’ve inspired me to pull out my Mergress. I use Proraso White pre quite often, and I really go through the Green aftershave. Sometimes I use the tube of cream in the Green as well. But today in Green Bay, Wisconsin it is snowing and I am itching for spring weather that is still a long way off. So I dug out my Petrichor set from Barrister/Mann and will use that astounding scent to fool my senses into thinking it’s spring. There is an amazing Fougére a/s, now discontinued, by Peter Charkalis called “Afternoon In Paris” that adds a bit of vegetable glycerin, a tiny hint of menthol and a beautiful bouquet of blossoms atop the grass and damp earth of the amazing Petrichor soap and splash. It’s as though you went for a walk in the grass after a light spring rain, then came home to your den to a fresh bouquet from Mrs. H. Or at least that’s how I’m hoping it will go. Astra, 3rd use, RazoRock 400 aluminum brush, Crown King hot scuttle just to hold the brush between face lathering.

Good evening Paul! Looking forward to the shave den tour video. Great tip for an inexpensive lather bowl. Sandalwood soaps; I liked the Truefitt and Hill sample I used. The smell of it was intoxicating. The Progress's blade gap was intimidating to say the least. I think the Personna Med Prep blades are good...I have found they are a bit inconsistent...in my box of 100 I have found one blade is super smooth and sharp with great longevity and the next blade will be mediocre and only good for a few shaves. That was a nice looking shave Paul. Yes, the blue lilies look so gorgeous! Thanks for sharing. Take care.

Watching from Shenzhen in the south of China here, weather today was 26 degrees C and it's still only late Feb!.. Tomatoes all year round here haha. Not been long DE shaving, was a 'cartridge' user before, had razor bumps, razor burn and hated shaving each and every day !!. Took up DE and razor bumps almost gone, razor burn? I've forgotten what that feels like now. Anyway, most of my bowls are 'repurposed' into shaving bowls, real cheap to buy here (rice bowls etc) razor I managed to get in HK on a visit there, as were the soaps and the badger brush. Here on the mainland there's very little available other than cartridge stuff and 'spray can 'foams' .. looks like another HK trip needs to be made. love watching your vids... real informative and useful for a DE newbie - keep it up.

Great shave Paul!...I have a huge storage roller box full of artisan goodies but at the end of the day, I really do enjoy the old Proraso. No fuss, perfect lather every time. I'm particularly fond of Proraso 'Blue' cream. It ticks every box for a great lather with a magnificent post-shave that doesn't overdo it. Mmmmmyeah I wouldn't find that setting on a progress a great deal of fun. Paul. I have a question about how you film your flowers on every video. What camera do you use for that and do you use a stabilizer? Oh, and last Sunday I did a vintage shave, just to say I did it, with a very special Gillette President set (New De Luxe type, heavy gold plated and engraved brass, 1930). Mitchell’s Wool Fat, Same Astra Blade as today. What a beautiful shaver. Too pretty and historic to use on a regular basis but to celebrate the acquisition I had to shave with it, right?
