King Uthyr was Arthur's father in the old Welsh legends about King Arthur, so the tv show is accurate here. The land Arthur is destined to unite is called 'Albion' which is an old name for Britain :)

Please continue reacting to Merlin. While it takes a while to find it’s feet and the first few episodes are a little weak, it improves with each season. The acting, particularly from Colin Morgan (Merlin) and Bradley James (Arthur) is beautiful, honest and real.

Uther being King Arthur's father is a detail of the legend that they didn't make up for the show. I'm fuzzy on the legend, but I feel like Uther was a lord but never actually a king as he is here.

I said the series improves with each season, and that’s true, with one exception, season 3, ep 3 Goblin’s Gold. What on earth were they thinking?

I've been enjoying your OUAT reactions so much I decided to give Merlin a try. Just finished the 1st ep. Also, the Arthurian legend, and Merlin, was the very first novels I got into. Starting at about 10 yrs old. Think I've read them all fr. 😄 Mary Stewart's are my favorite. 📚

Merlin can be tricky to upload sometimes. Make sure there is talking over the music and also make sure to keep the clips of the show short (like 10 seconds). It's difficult along the same lines as Good Witch. But can be done :)
