The gold pass tbh is probably better value for money! I just wanted the £19 vouchers and tbh I drink a lot so the bottle will help lol Next year though I’ll probably do the gold pass.

Yes people do wear it I do all the time and the pass is fully waterproof and very well protected the platinum lanyard isn't too good tho I recommend buying another one like I got a wickerman one

In terms of Freestyle cups, they have a microchip in the bottom which only allows them to be used for 1 day. So while the cup can be used at any time, once activated it is only usable for 1 day. After that it is just another refillable cup to use at home. I did see something about re-activating your cup, but I only saw this at Alton Towers when I've visited (which costs money if you don't have a voucher). I don't know how that works, and whether it may be exclusive to Alton Towers or not.

Great video 👍👍welcome to the world of hotels and petrol 😅 the refill cup you can only use at one like you said, but I have had a pass for a few years now so I made sure to use my cup voucher at different parks each year so now I have one for all parks and just take which one I need 😃, also the pop badge you can wear on your lanyard if you want to, just push your finger through the hole at the back so it splits in half and then put it back together with one side of your lanyard in the middle(if that makes sense) btw don't fall into the trap of buying all the ride pins and walking around with them on your lanyard looking like Mr T 😂

Really?! That’s a bit bad! Hopefully that doesn’t happen with me but there really should be a process before you actually receive your card. If the card is activated, that really should mean that everything is good.

Any update? I hear the number of allocated slots for Merlin Passes is a problem ( apparently one attraction has only 4 slots a day for pass members). Any thoughts? I don't want to pay and not get in anywhere ... thanks

I’ve not had any issues booking multiple slots (I think it’s up to 6). I have about 4 booked at the moment between Thorpe park and alton towers. But, I don’t think I would purchase the platinum pass again. I feel like Merlin are a bit ‘stindgey’ and I tend not feel like it’s good value for money considering the cost. Most people go for gold and if you aren’t bothered about opening days, scarefest etc then I would definitely go for the gold pass instead. That’s what I plan to do next year anyway.
