Hey everyone! Told you I'd be uploading regularly again! Although ironically this was not one of my planned projects it's just something I threw together last night as the idea hit me.
So basically the idea behind this vid is actually based on the first few chapters of a fanfiction I wrote a few years ago called "Love's First Kiss". As you can see the story is based on the premise of what if Gwen couldn't break the kiss and it was Merlin who had to? What happens in the video is only the beginning of the story, and originally I wanted to vid the whole fic, but I got so into manipping the conversation with the dragon that it took up the majority of the track so I decided to keep it simple and let the story just take its course.
I'm actually REALLY happy with how it turned out. The manipped conversation between Merlin and the dragon was based on actual dialogue that I wrote and I just to re-create. I really really hope you guys like it!
So in case it's not obvious, the very basic story in this video is the combination of just a few scenes. "Sweet Dreams" pans out just like in canon up to the point where Gwen kisses Arthur. The enchantment isn't broken and Gwen is angry with Merlin for leading her hopes on. He goes to the dragon to demand why the kiss didn't work and he simply tells Merlin that it didn't work because Gwen can't have been Arthur's true love. Merlin soon realises he's talking about him and tries to deny Arthur's feelings for him, but the dragon assures him they're real, and tells Merlin that he too loves the Prince. Merlin tries to deny this as well but can't. He's left to face his decision and chooses to go ahead and kiss Arthur to break the spell. Once Arthur tells Merlin they can finally be together, Merlin erases Arthur's memory of the kiss so that he won't be burdened with the knowledge of what happened and they can go back to normal. Merlin is left heartbroken.

I warn you though, they are very outdated, I wrote them I believe before season 3 had even aired, or just as it was airing.

0:32 until 1:14 this wonderfully edited 'dialogue' between Merlin and Kilgharrah is the essence of the whole show. we just never got it summed up like that. the reasons for this are the roots for countless maladies of the world. will we ever overcome them?

Heeeeey ;) yeah I've been kind of dipping in and out of KZbin in the last year mostly because I was vidding quite a lot on my glee channel before but since the show finished I've gotten waaaay more invested in the merlin fandom again and yeah I have lots of stuff planned :) I made a Lancelot and gwen video a couple of weeks ago as well you should check that out I know you share my love for them hehe.
