I'm riding motorcycle since almost 30 years. Merlin is really the best clothing brand I've ever had. Since I discover this my Merlin Jackets last year and then gloves, I'will probably buy specialy that brand now. I'm waiting for that winter gloves :). Thx to make me discover this Merlin. Cheers

Hi! I accessed the size guide that you referred to on your video and it stated that the shoulder measurements were shorter than the chest in the figures, but the diagram was longer for the shoulders (as you would expect). The can't both be correct! Can you check this out, please?

I'm considering this shirt, but am hesitant in terms of how well it would fair in a fall. Being a "softshell", I'm afraid the waist could slide up (there are belt loops on the back, right? But not on the sides or front? ) and the sleeves could slip up past my elbow. Is there anything to prevent that or does one have to rely exclusively on tucking them under one's gloves and fastening them rightly? Would also be curious to know whether there's anything to keep the elbow armour in place in the event of a fall.

Hi Trav, The Axe comes with a 100% kevlar inner lines for high abrasion protection plus CE level 1 shoulder and elbow armour (which are kept in position inside their pockets). As a riding shirt, you can't expect the same tight fit of the leather suit but this product ticked all the box in terms of safety. Cheers, Nick

It is kevlar lined, comes with shoulder and elbow armour, and you can purchase a back protector separately.

Would this be safe enough to wear by itself without any other riding jackets, or will I have to throw a leather jacket over top for sufficient protection?

Hi, it would be best for town riding at CE A approval. (up to around 40mph). Maybe consider something more protective for faster roads!

If you're still wondering about this, over on the Revzilla page for this shirt there is a review from a guy that went down at 55 mph across pavement then dirt and this shirt saved his skin very well.

I have a chest size of 38 Inches Sleeve Length :- 27 inches and Waist (not belly button measurement) :- 36 inches . Which size of Merlin Axe Motorcycle Shirt should fit me ? S or M ?

Hard to be certain - if you want more comfort and room, the M would be better, but if you want a slimmer fit, S would be better for your chest size.

@@UrbanRiderlondon but u mentioned in your video that the shirt is as is a bit bigger in size . Considering your stats , u mentioned u have a 39inches chest still u thought of opting for a S size , I have 38 chest thus was thinking on these grounds....
