I am genuinely delighted to discover this specific recording. I am a Brit living in the UK but was SF resident 1991-2001. I remember this show really well at Ferry Plaza. A month or so earlier I'd been driving back on 280 from work in Redwood City one evening listening to KKSF or perhaps the station out of San Jose when I caught a live session by the Mermen, and I just thought they were stunning. I heard they were playing at the waterfront and I really wanted to see them 'in the flesh'. The show was absolutely bloody fantastic and I play my Mermen records now when I need to conjure up California sunshine and memories of that long, beautiful Ocean Beach leading up to the Musee Mechanique and the Camera Obscura.

@ktwheels44 You're the first because I just uploaded it. I'm just now getting around to putting up my old live band videos I shot in the 90's. I do remember making a tape for the band. Glad you enjoy it. This was probably the best video I ever shot, with the great weather, beautiful setting and of course the great Mermen!

Discovered them through Road Rash 3D in 2002, you uploaded in 2012 and just in 2023 I discovered this video .. lol... Their sound are always in my head since heard them from a videogame soundtrack, since where I live doesn't have many bands of this genre, it's a great pleasure to see how they performed live !
