I really get a kick out of people's comments about these "dreamy" men. Funny to me that they are ALL married, fathers, and now grandfathers. It is their devotion to their wives, families, values, church, etc. that gains my total respect. It goes without saying their talent is surpassed by none other since they came on the scene. So proud of all they stand for - from a fifty year fan.

Here's the interesting part: when this was recorded, Merrill was 18. He had this voice at 18 years old. Unreal. This is one of the songs on Phase III that was recorded in Muscle Shoals, Alabama, about 40 miles from my home. A documentary about FAME mentions the Osmonds working there. When The Plan was released in 1973, Merrill was 20, Jay 18, Alan 24, Wayne 22 and Donny 16. Listen to it with the understanding they wrote the songs and did a great deal of the instrumental work. These guys have never gotten the credit they deserved.

Amy K I am listening to it now, today date July 17,2015 never knew the Osmond brothers wrote this song love .......................it so much, huge Osmondfan grew up watching them along Jackson five family, you are a 100% right, to me in my opinion they were over look because they were clean cut ,I do not understand why the Osmond brothers are not in the mainstream today like in big stadiums like M Jagger who still can't sing well like the Osmond, these guys deserve all the credit in the world, their music is still great to listening to, I am in love with Merrill all over again that voice is amazing all of them are amazing, I always see Donny on television so I am use to him still handsome as always,every day I am watching their show, I keeping up with their websites now, missthis family still great performers with out the dancing, saw them on OPRAH'Sseveral years ago looking good, Merrill grew into his good looks thank God forvideos and website there are a lot of teenagers young adult's discovering thislegendary family go........................Osmond if you read the comments aboutthis family a lot of them are young so happy to these wonderful pictures of Merrill great body of work also Allen Wayne Jay Donny & Marie and Jimmy who really is doing a great job keeping the family together at the Osmond theater love this family.

I totally agree, they were so young yet had so much talent. I didn't know that this song was written by the Osmonds it's beautiful to this day. Too bad they didn't get the credit they deserved as singer/songwriters. I know they wanted to do a lot more and had things gone a little differently we may have had a totally new genre of music. But I love reminiscing by watching these videos. What a strong beautiful voice Merrill has.

I think when they went Country. The gloves represented Cowboys. You know how they wore the gloves to ride and herd their cattle, worn to prevent the rope burns on their hands. So, I believe that was Merrill's way of Representing. Just like Wayne and Alan wore the Cowboy Hats and Jay wore the handkerchief around his neck, Merrill wore the leather gloves. That's all.
