Hi Didi, I liked your “Winter” and “Christmas” podcast so much!! I was looking forward to it. I like to hear you without editing, your voice is so calm and soothing. Last Christmas I was in Korea visiting and it was an amazing experience. I ate almost all the food you mentioned, but I also had “Hotteok” in Seoul and Busan, and both were delicious! And the Korean pancake in Jeonju was amazing 😋 I had spicy soups too, like “Yukgaejang”. Everything was delicious. The Christmas decorations are too pretty there, and I was so excited seeing snow for the first time and snowmans ☃️ In my country (Perú) we spend Christmas with family, eating a very big dinner with turkey and opening presents. All at night during Christmas Eve. Usually you don’t see your friends that day, everyone is with their families. It was also really interesting what you mentioned about the pronunciation, the age difference and the Christmas couple thing 😁 Thank you for keeping the subtitles!!!! By the way, do you have an instagram account? And the live will be via KZbin, right??? Merry Christmas Didi!!!! ☃️❄️🎄🎁

Hi! I can't believe that I missed Hotteok and hot soups 😭😭 Your adventures in Korea sound amazing 😆 Wasn’t it incredibly chilly? Maybe the joy of the trip made you forget the cold! You can find me on instagram by @lvlsdd, and yes, the live session will be on KZbin ☺️ Thank you for sharing your journey and for tuning into my podcast! Wishing you a fantastic remainder of 2023! 💕

Also the joy and excitement of the trip as u said ^^~ Thank YOU for being so kind and replying, I’ll keep watching your videos!! I wish the same for you!!! 🫶🏼🎄✨❄️ I’ll follow you on IG and try to attend the live session 🤩🤩

I am a bit late and still trying to catch up with your podcasts. But nevertheless I want to say thank you for the hard work you put in. (I hope I didn't mess up the grammar 🤔😆). In regards to Christmas: it is NOT a christian holiday, despite many people assuming this. It actually dates back at least 10.000 years and celebrates the shortest day of the year, the winter solstice, as from this day on the days become longer again. Due to the amount of changes in our calender the day is not exact (it should be the 21.), but who cares. The catholic church actually was very opposed to the people celebrating this for a very long time, as it contains a lot of pagan traditions, like the christmas tree (the people wanted to preserve life over the winter), but in the end had to give up as the people liked it too much. That we give presents to each other is a Roman tradition (they called the feast Saturnalia ). 🙂

Wow, really?! I just learned something new! I don't think many people in Korea deeply understand the meaning of Christmas. :) Thank you for sharing this information! And thank you for enjoying my podcast as well. Christmas is coming soon! Have a warm holiday season!

@@didikoreanpodcast Many western people don't know either. They just assume it to be christian, as most of our feast are. I'm on the northern half of the earth, so no warm holidays for me. :D But thank you, nevertheless and the same for you. :)

Hi~ I found your channel and enjoy it so much! Can you talk about personal colour? 피부 웜톤/꿀톤^^ For me it’s really interesting how Korean girls are obsessed with personal colour, but they’re really surprised when they see me changing makeup colours and tones depending on my mood/clothes/hair colour etc~
