Drake, with the help of 50 Cent and others, are now trying to manipulate the audience by selling them a new perspective on the RAP BATTLE. Why isn't this being challenged by the OGs in the rap space? It was a RAP BATTLE and Drake LOST. Now he's using the media (and the court system) to manipulate people into thinking he didn't lose instead of getting back into the booth. This is insane!

The reason for the unease about 'pop star' is because through the beef until now the theme has been 'the pop star (Drake) was defeated by the artist (Kendrick)' plus Dot called Drake pop star in a diss. That's whatever, the reason I don't like the award is because it comes across like a Grammy lifetime achievement award. Billboard gave actual awards, including biggest rap star of the year, to everyone else (including Drake) and only gave Kendrick 2 actual awards. Then they come back and give him the pop star award. Its like someone getting the lifetime award after not getting any actual grammys or Oscars for actual projects. It feels like "yeah we robbed you but we look ridiculous denying your greatness so have this award".

If you decided to pay attention to billboard awards this year, I can understand your opinion but if you know better, you know billboards awards NEVER match what is being done for the year. Which is why no one ever pays attention to their awards. If Drake is to ever win an awards there’s a 95% chance it’s a billboard award. He wins them easily. Every time. Just like Doja cat was a winner this year but wasn’t the most visible female rapper. There’s no stock in that award. It always goes to the persons catalogue as a collective instead of the production of said year. Also, several rappers have won this award in different years. Kanye, Emeniem, lil Wayne, Diddy, etc. They’re still known as rappers because it’s about the most POPULAR artist of the year, not what music you make. All the ranting and raving about nothing is silly lol

It didn't remove them from being in people's Top 5 for greatest rappers. Let's be honest. Kendrick came off an extremely successful and sold out international tour in March. He has been charting in the top 20 since, Like That, dropped. The PopOut show sold out in hours. He has been doing phenomenal things all year.

And the fact that he was on the show in the 1st place, THAT let you know everything. - He had a plan to do business with Drake (and that was BEFORE the battle), so for him, Drake win, then he can take advantage of the situation. But DRAKE LOST, so that change EVERYTHING. Him and The Game, they have NEVER been in this place that Kendrick is right now. The respect and love that he has is what sending them over the edge. And A LOT OF PEOPLE in the Industry are ENVIOUS AND JEALOUS of Kendrick, because HE CAN LEAVE for 5 years, COME BACK and STILL RUN SH*T. They CAN'T do that.
