四月真的是离别的月份, 坂本龙一大师离世了. 他一生留下太多伟大的作品, 甚至Michael Jackson 都翻唱过他早期的作品. 最广为人知的, 应该就是这首 Merry Christmas Mr. Lawrence, 他与 David Bowie合作的电影及音乐作品.
关于生命, 在纪录片《坂本龙一: 终曲》中, 他这样说: “因为我们不知道死亡何时会到达, 所以会把生命当做是一个永不枯竭的井. 然而所有事物都只会发生有限的次数, 也许只有一两次. 你能记住多少次童年中某个特定的下午, 那个已经成为你生命一部分的下午, 甚至没有它你会无法回想自己的人生. 也许最多就四, 五次吧, 或许更少. 一生中你会看到几次满月升起, 也许就20次, 然而这些看似无限. 人的一生所剩的时间每一天都在减少, 不对自己撒谎, 做真实的音乐, 真实地活下去. 还有, 不要忘记看每天的月亮.”

I apologize for responding in English, but I figured it would be appropriate given the subject matter. I’m learning this song on piano right now and never realized each hand represents the music of two different cultures, but now that you point it out it’s so obvious. What a beautiful hidden meaning within the music, executed sublimely. Sakamoto was a one of a kind genius, his legacy will live on forever. I feel privileged that my lifetime briefly overlapped with his, and that his music will always remain with me.
