I remember feeling so bad for you when your dad passed...today I buried my 88yr old dad. I knew my dad was dying and I was there until the end and got to say goodbye. Your dad died suddenly but probably didn't suffer like my dad did....it sucks either way. RIP to both of our dads.

Pops will be remembered as someone who has been an amazing character in a bunch of different shows and movies throughout my childhood and adolescence. From the Wayans Bros and always pulling out the belt, to dropping deuce in the bathroom then calling his son in to have a talk in Friday, the resemblance to my own pops is uncanny. I never knew your pops personally, but what I gathered from watching these cooking videos over the past couple years, he seemed like he was a more genuine and kinder version of his character from the Boondocks. Wishing your family all the best this Christmas J.D., thank you for sharing these memories! P.S. - You know you've been regularly giving gag gifts at Xmas when you give a present and the first thing they say is "Oh man.." LOL!
