A few references I spotted The name Major Tim (named after Tiny Tim from a Christmas Carol) is a reference to Major Tom (named after the David Bowie song Space Oddity) from Metal Gear 3 Major Tim's frequency is 012.25 (The date of Christmas) The camera is a stand in for the stun grenade, a staple of the series The Los Bigotes Perfectos project is a reference to the Les Enfant Terribles (the project that created Solid, Liquid and Solidus Snake) The project was headed by president Andrew Johnson as opposed to Lyndon B. Johnson in metal gear Recessive and Dominant genes are the main distinguishing factor between Big Beard and Big Boss, much like Solid and Liquid Snake The final codec call as a post credit scene is a reference to Ocelot's call to the president at the end of Metal Gear Solid 1 Those are the ones I saw, correct me if I'm wrong on any of these or say if you saw any more

It's perfect. Right away with Saint Nick repeating the last thing (Tiny) Tim said in a confused tone, it brought back MGS1 so quickly. Edit: Gravity only works if you believe in it?!? This changes everything! Rocks are conscious and can hold beliefs! Edit 2: Seems a bit unfair to give "Tortoise" in reference to a slow, methodical, and above all, flawless run. I'd have gone with "Ghost" for never being spotted or touching anyone.

I've only played MGS4, but there are various completion achievements in that game that are typically named after animals. "Tortoise" is gained after spending enough time inside a box. Granted this game came out before 4, but there might be similar achievements in previous games. Alternatively, the game is calling you slow based on your completion time.

This is a game I never seen in a long time, so thank you for giving me this pleasant surprise. Got to love the dialogue at times. One point to note: The correct spelling for the different floors on the building is "Storey", not "Story". Though this does have a decent enough story. Edit: Looks like UK vs US english strikes again.
