When I was a kid we took coffee cans ,painted them and cut flowers out of magazines pasted to can. Then paint shellac on out side . Back then it had a lid. My mother loved it . I am 80 years old and I still have it with buttons in it. I was a den mother for cub scouts, we glued macaroni to cans then sprayed them gold . Thay turned out cute I still have two of them .( two sons)
