I’m new at sewing and I’m starting with making quilt tops. You’re video is fantastic! You made this look so easy I thought I’d give it a try for my 5th quilt top and first full size quilt! The ladies I quilt with were shocked I was already going to try this. It was only because of your awesome video! You explain things so well and gave me confidence to try it! I was pleased at how well it turned out! Please post more!!!!

I haven't either. I just stack squares in order. No ripping at all. I used Eleanor Burns book Trip Around the World. But, ended up with the same quilt design.
@mjp5129
@mjp5129 10 ай бұрын
@@ellenhofer3343 Eleanor didn’t rip the seams. She cut on the seam lines, but made and laid out the same way. Just watched her again. Made one that way, when I first started quilting. Turned out beautiful. I don’t know, I think I like this better. Eleanor did sew the tube together, before sub cutting. That’s the only thing I would do differently. Just personal preference. Less sewing. Love this quilt.

This was an awesome tutorial! The way you explained the Trip quilt took out the intimidation factor that always held me back from attempting it. Thank you, and thank you for treating quilting as something should be a fun and creative process, and not like it's a mathematically scientific one! :)
